Comverge iPhone app streamlines field device installations

Comverge has released of a new set of applications for the iPhone to help field technicians better manage the entire device installation process, including scheduling, device commissioning, testing and inventory management. The iPhone applications are being launched as part of Comverge's IntelliSOURCE software platform and operating environment.

"With 87 percent of all residential demand response devices deployed in North America, Comverge provides the industry's most widely deployed intelligent energy management solutions," said R. Blake Young, president and chief executive officer of Comverge, in a statement.

"Our new set of applications for the iPhone represents our focus on delivering solutions that are designed to help customers and Comverge field technicians operate more efficiently. We believe the solutions will also help Comverge more effectively deliver on its programs through better management of technician time as well as improved inventory management."

The app is available free from Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPod touch.
