People Power Company capitalizes on Google and Microsoft energy exits
With Google's PowerMeter and Microsoft's Hohm out of the way, People Power Company is moving in with People Power 1.0.
"We're grateful for the opportunity to have partnered with both applications [Google and Microsoft] and truly believe that they have been instrumental in drawing much needed attention to a significant issue and opportunity in North American energy conservation," Peter Porteous of Blue Line Innovation (the company partnering with People Power), said in an email to FierceEnergy. "That being said, clearly neither solution truly hit the mark, either for utility or homeowner customer groups."
Why will this partnership, this product be any different? Well, the company says it has added cloud-based real-time data aggregation allowing utilities 32-second visibility into their residential customer base with unlimited segmentation splits available. The product will have local availability at Lowes.
"We think the table is now being set for our, yet immature, residential energy management market to take off," Porteus said.
