Retroficiency signs utilities for BEI pilot
Following their recent acquisition of Nexamp, Retroficiency has launched a new interval data energy-efficiency benchmarking and assessment solution. Iberdrola USA and Schneider Electric are piloting the new Retroficiency Building Efficiency Intelligence (BEI) platform - Virtual Energy Assessment (VEA) - in separate programs.
As utility and commercial building energy efficiency spending becomes less efficient in terms of dollars spent for the savings, VEA helps utilities prioritize portfolios and identify no- and low-cost measures quickly using only a building's address and its energy consumption interval data.
With its advanced data analytics, VEA can be used by utilities to systematically target candidates for energy-efficiency programs and motivate them to reduce consumption.
The VEA is being piloted by multiple large utilities and energy service providers.
